We’re getting festive for ‘Hour of Code’ week
6 December 2021

The digital diary: December 2021
In November our school sessions were all about learning to use loops and repetition through drawing shapes and patterns, with a little bit of maths thrown in for good measure.
With over 2K attendees, our November sessions were one of our most successful months so far. We really appreciate all the amazing photos you’ve posted on social media of classrooms full of kids enjoying their coding adventure. Take a look at #CodePlayground and check out some of the photos
Let's get coding!
The year isn’t over just yet, we’re putting a festive spin on our December coding sessions. Starting Monday, 6 December, coinciding with Hour of Code week, we’re hosting our ‘Snowball scramble’ project, using clones to make code more efficient, with a fun snowball fight twist. Book a free space for you class and code along to complete the project.
Happy coding everyone!

In the meantime
December is panto season and we can’t wait! - “It’s behind you!” they cry – “Oh no it isn’t, it’s this month!” we reply.
Our Code Playground Story challenge series, available for free on our site, embraces the pantomime spirit. Create your own animated story, all while learning useful coding skills. Use the plot from your favourite panto or for the more creative, come up with a story of your own.
We’d love to see the stories you create. You can share them through our social media channels, we’re on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, just search ‘Digital Eagles’
